A series of Pt/Na2 SiO3?WO3/ZrO2 catalysts with different Na2 SiO3 contents were prepared. The physical?chemical properties of the catalysts were characterized by X?ray diffraction ( XRD ) , H2 temperature?programmed reduction ( H2?TPR ), hydrogen adsorption, NH3 temperature?programmed desorption (NH3?TPD). The performance for glycerol hydrogenolysis to 1,3?propanediol were investigated in a fixed?bed continuous?flow reactor. Results showed that the crystalline structure of ZrO2 , acidic properties, reducibility, and the amount of chemisorbed hydrogen of the catalysts with addition of Na2 SiO3 were improved, which in turn affected the performance of glycerol hydrogenolysis to 1, 3?propanediol. Pt/Na2 SiO3?WO3/ZrO2 catalyst with proper content of Na2 SiO3 would have a high activity and stability.
