On 14 May 2009,40 minutes after its liftoff at 13:12:02 (UT) from Europe's Spaceport in Kourou of French Guiana,the Herschel,a space telescope of the European Space Agency (ESA),sent its first radio signals back to the Earth,announcing its successful separation from the launcher.
